Use & Care
All candles deserve a little TLC. Make the most out of every burn with these candle care steps.
Snip Snip. Each time you light your candle, make sure to trim your wick to 1/4" first. This will ensure a clean, even burn every time! Bonus, it helps to reduce soot on the glass.
Light it up. After you light your candle, let it burn until the wax pools to the edges (especially on the very first burn).
Cool + Rest. When you're ready, extinguish the flame and let your candle completely cool before the next burn.
The Last Burn. Once your candle has only 1/2" of wax left, it's time for a new one. Continuing to burn with less than 1/2" of wax can be really dangerous (the candle could shatter or catch fire).
Warning. Burn within sight. Keep away from things that catch fire. Keep away from children. To prevent fire, place only on heat resistant surfaces. Avoid drafts. Avoid cold surfaces such as glass or marble. Keep foreign matter and wick trimmings out of candle.

I LOVE VOTIVO! I was so excited to see the new tomato leaf scent since a KS transplant to NYC/NJ and memories of plucking warm tomatoes to pop in my mouth at Grammys midwest garden. PLEASE keep trying Votivo but the scent it not dramatic and lingering. I loved Flamingo Estates Roma Heirloom tomato but pricey at $60 or $7.50 an ounce. Tried Paddywax Heirloom at $24 for 8 ounces at $3 per ounce...ok but not wow. Leoben Tomato Greens Moss at $8 for 9 ounces at $.88 per ounce addictive and amazing! Votivo please keep trying at $40 for 10 ounces or $4 per ounce. Still totally addicted to Votivo for life but get this one right, please.

Votivo always reminds me of living in Chicago. Very happy times! !! A small home decor shop in my neighborhood carried all the scents. Noel. Red Currant and Tomato were my all time favorites!
I’m in Michigan now. Thought I’d re-live Red Currant and Tomato. Sadly, not the same…😢.. Weaker scents. Still nice but not really noticeable . I miss the brown box with wrap around tie closure also….

I ordered two candles. One was sent to a friend who loved it. Mine arrived with defects to the glass. Not sure if from manufacture or shipping. Edge was rough and I feared cutting my fingers. I sent an email to votivo but never heard back. Very sad
