I have ordered this product a few times in the past and I have never had an issue with smell. I ordered the liquid fragrance for the first time and before I opened the box to take out the candles and the liquid fragrance , the musty smell was unbearable. I did t return because it is too much of a hassle to go to a facility and return it. Needless to say I will not order that liquid fragrance again.
